Camomile Comics - Transcribed Version

I wanted to create a version of my weekly comic, Camomile, that could potentially be enjoyed by those who use a screen reader to consume content online. After researching this type of thing further, I’ve learned that for entertainment media, most visually-impaired people prefer audio description performed by a real human, so I will likely shift my efforts towards this going forward. Scripts of the audio described versions will still be available for screen reader usage.

This project is a work-in-progress, and I am eager to recieve feedback on it if anyone can provide it! My hope is that once I am caught up with the transcribed version, I will be able to release them alongside the visual version each week.

Comics are available in batches of 10, with the web address for each batch following the template of jezmmart.com/chamomilescript and then the three digit number of the first comic in each batch, for example 001, 011, 021 and so on. Using the page number 000 leads to a introduction page that describes the visual style of the comic and detailed descriptions of the main four characters. Since the comic follows a short-form, joke-a-week format and is intended to be enjoyable without heavy investment, I do not believe it would be recommended to read this heavy description up-front until you’ve had a taste of the comic and feel invested enough to continue reading.
